Archaeology Month
We are pleased to announce that work has begun for the organization of Washington Archaeology Month 2008. The 2008 poster will focus on the rich history and iconography of historic cemeteries throughout the state.
Because of the incredible success of the past sixteen years, we look forward to this year's Archaeology Month Celebration– October 1 through October 31. During this special time we will be promoting across the state, the general importance of protecting Washington's archaeological heritage.
At this time we are soliciting your participation in organizing a Washington Archaeology Month event. Submit your event along with the Event Form (see below) to Russell Holter by September 1, 2008. We will include your activity on the Archaeology Month calendar, which will be posted on our website.
